About Future Energy

Future Energy Pty Ltd is a Melbourne based company established in 2003 to develop small and medium scale renewable energy projects. At present we have a number of wind farm projects at various stages of development, ranging in size from 4 MW to 100 MW.

Our first project – the Hepburn Community Wind Park -  received Development Approval in 2007 and commenced operations in July 2011. It is Australia’s first community owned wind farm (see www.hepburnwind.com.au) and has received international recognition for its achievement. A report in 2011 by Sustainability Victoria provides details of how the project was established and delivered by Future Energy and the local sustainability group. View and download a copy here.

Wind farms provide a return to investors through both sale of the electricity generated and from and the sale of the Large Scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) attached to this energy. Future Energy  is committed to ensuring that opportunities for investment in renewable energy  are available to  individuals, community co-operatives, landowners, superannuation funds, and other appropriate entities.

If you have an interest in investing in renewable energy,  please register your interest here, and you will added to our database, and contacted when opportunities arise.
